What is Moodle@CUHK?

Moodle is an open source eLearning platform which is flexible to customize to fit teachers' needs. The word Moodle is actually an acronym for Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment, although originally the M stood for "Martin", named after Martin Dougiamas, the original developer.

Consider using Moodle for your course if you want to:

  1)   list out teaching materials and class activities in topic or weekly format.
  2)   extend to discuss with students outside classroom and want to receive email notification when there are new discussions.
  3)   have online exercises (MC, SQ, LQ) with auto-marking.
  4)   use some latest technology such as podcast, blog, wiki, etc.
Size Limit for a Moodle Course

You can put course materials in your course under the Moodle system to support your teaching activities. Currently there is no disk space limit of a Moodle course for this legitimate use.

Course Backup

You are recommended to make your own backup copies regularly or before you made changed to your course.
